Roy Nelson is fat, but he exposed Kimbo Slice
__________________________________________________________________________On tonight’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter, Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson was being built up as a fat, big-bellied, oaf. Rampage Jackson provided an entertaining description of Big Country’s Big Belly during portions of the show. Big Country was chosen to fight Internet Sensation Kimbo Slice in Slice’s first fight since an embarrassing loss to a guy with pink hair and what ensued sent hype-haters and UFC Purist into rare and unadulterated joy.

Kimbo Slice lost to Roy 'Big Country' Nelson on his first fight in The Ultimate Fighter
The holes in Kimbo’s takedown defense, while viable in the first few seconds of the fight, were exposed as the big-bellied brawler scored two takedowns and eventually won by TKO (strikes) midway through the second round. Roy Nelson took it upon himself to request a Whopper with Cheese and no pickles after the fight.
In all fairness, those who dismiss Kimbo Slice as a fraud need to realize that the guy, by his own admission, is still learning the ‘art form’ that is mixed martial arts. The teaser for the next episode hinted at Slice getting another shot to prove himself, and Dana White has already said that Kimbo Slice will fight in the UFC no matter what happens on TUF. This is a far different sentiment from the ‘win or go home’ attitude he took when it was originally announced that Kimbo would be on The Ultimate Fighter.
The Big Nasty Athletic Dept. is rooting for Kimbo Slice to do well. We hope he learns, comes back strong, and kicks somebody’s ass. After his last two fights, there really is nowhere to go but up.
