The Big Nasty World Tour: Dodger Stadium
__________________________________________________________________________This past weekend we visited The one and only Dodger Stadium to witness The Los Angeles Dodgers pound The San Francisco Giants 12-1. This game got out of hand in a hurry as The entire stadium was going nuts after Ronnie Belliard hit a grand slam in the 1st as we were taking our seats (gotta love that L.A. Traffic). This one was not the least bit competitive the entire way, so the non-game highlights should serve a s more entertaining than the in-game highlights.

The Big Nasty Athletic Dept visited Dodger Stadium this past weekend.
In-game Highlights…
- The Dodgers look to be peaking at the right time, especially their bats. Ronnie Belliard, Matt Kemp, Blake DeWitt, and James Loney all had home runs.
Non-game Highlights…
- Manny Ramirez may be a sub-par base runner as well as a below average outfielder, but he’s still got an arm. Manny was warming up (playing catch) in between innings and he’d throw the ball into the stands before an ensuing inning, and at one point, he managed to get one near the upper deck with minimal effort.
- Giants fans were getting kicked out left and right. We wanted to keep a running tally but they seemed to get kicked out in bunches as big plays would happen for the Dodgers and the Dodger faithful would get riled up.
- Matt Kemp had himself a game, both offensively and defensively, and every time he would make a play a Dodger fan directly behind us would shout “MAAAT KEEEEEEMP!!!!” (in the same fashion as people shout WESTSIIIIYDE!!!). It should have been annoying, but it was pretty amusing and we looked forward to it each and every time (he never missed his cue!).
- There was this young lady who left nothing to be desired in her pectoral region (she had a nice rack) and she was sitting three rows behind us but in front of the video board. We looked forward to the parts of the game where our attention was to be directed to the video board because it gave us an opportunity to stare at her and drool.
- Tommy LaSorta is going to be honored soon it was announced. Good for him.
What We Missed…
Seeing that we attended the game on a Saturday afternoon, there were some College Football games on tap that we did not get to see live:
- Washington stuns #3USC [rivals.com]
- Notre Dame holds off Michigan State [LA Times]
- #13VA Tech rallies to beat #19Nebraska [FayObserver.com]
