Have Redskins hit the bottom? Loss to lowly Lions raises questions about Zorn’s job security, team’s talent level [Charlotte Observer]
Type in ‘Jim Zorn Fired’ in you google searchbar, or (shameless plug alert) The Big Nasty Athletic Dept. google search bar, and the downpour of stories concerning Jim Zorn’s future with the Redskins is overwhelming to say the least.
In this ‘Knee-Jerk Monday’ Special Report, we examine (current) Washington Redskins head coach, Jim Zorn’s, job security. After ignoring a win at home against The lowly Rams, where The Washington Redskins only scored 9 points and no touchdowns, Washington Redskins fans, supporters, bloggers, media outlets, and even hoggettes grew extremely impatient as the gorilla in the room wearing a ‘Fire Jim Zorn’ T-shirt, grew larger.
The, already crowded, ‘Fire Jim Zorn’ Bandwagon gained even more momentum after The Redskins lost the Detroit Lions version of Russian Roullette, becoming the first team to lose to The Detroit Lions in 20 games. Tony Dungy brought up a great point during last night’s telecast of The NBC Sunday Night tilt, between The Arizona Cardinals and The Indianapolis Colts, when he pointed to the lack of continuity within The Redskins Locker Room due to the revolving door of free agents and coaches.

To say Jim Zorn is on the hot seat would be an understatement.
While I don’t necessarily disagree with the ‘Fire Zorn’ outcry, this A.D.D. style of management, that has been set in place by Dan Snyder, seems to just set head coaches up to fail- Just ask Steve Spurrier, Norv Turner, and even Joe Gibbs, who won just 1 playoff game in his return as Redskins head coach after winning 3 Superbowls under Washington’s previous ownership.
