Jeff Garcia joins the ‘Pile on the Raiders’ club
__________________________________________________________________________QB Jeff Garcia’s The recent release from the Philadelphia Eagles, coupled with the recent putrid play of Raiders’ Quarterback Jamarcus Russell, conventional wisdom tells us that Jeff Garcia would be the obvious choice as a veteran for The Raiders to sign an place into the starting lineup the next time Jamarcus Russell turns the ball over (that’s less than 24 hours away, kickoff time is at 1:00 Eastern, so let’s just say 1:05 assuming The Raiders get the ball first).
Jeff Garcia and wife, Carmella...that's his WIFE?!
However Jeff Garcia made it clear that, even though the opportunity more than presents itself, he wants no part of The Oakland Raider’s organization and will likely stay a free agent even if The Oakland Raiders are the only team willing to sign him. “When you put him on the field in a one-on-one workout session he’ll make every throw for you,” Garcia said during the radio show. “But when it comes down to making things happen in the heat of the battle and rallying the troops around you and making a case for the team, that’s where maybe things aren’t where they need to be”
...That's is freakin', WIFE?!
[On The Raider's Organization (ESPN.com)]
“It was to a point where I felt like guys who walked through those doors that just were there to collect a check and not really interested in putting everything that they had within themselves on to the football field, and that was the frustrating thing for me to see.”
