We go to Athens for The Knee-Jerk reaction(s) of the week as Georgia Bulldogs Head Coach Mark Richt had to answer questions about his lineup after getting throttled 45-19 at Tennessee.

Put the gun down, Mark. It's just Knee-Jerk reaction.

Put the gun down, Mark. It's just Knee-Jerk reaction.

There is a story on OnlineAthens.com, where Richt, a man after our own hearts here in The Dept., responds to questions about The Bulldogs lineup with the following statement:

“You can get a knee-jerk reaction and make decisions that you probably shouldn’t make…We’re not going to sit here and make a bunch of wholesale changes right this second. If there are, we’ll know for sure by Tuesday.”

Mark Richt is a good coach, and while Georgia has hit a wall to start its season, we don’t expect The Dawgs to stay down for long.  This particular story sparked our interest because if Richt doesn’t start shaking up his lineup, he may be answering questions about his own future in true knee-jerk fashion.

Another interesting Knee-Jerk story was reported, this morning on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, as host Colin Cowherd explained that there has been a downpour of criticism on Tom Brady after a loss to a talented Broncos Team and his struggles on offense.  Some even think he should be benched.  Incredible.
