Morning Scramble: More on Dez Bryant suspension, Michael Vick reality show, ESPN Body Issue arrives
__________________________________________________________________________Before you decide to polish off the rest of that half-eaten, Jack-in-the-Box taco that you barely remember ordering last night at 3AM, how about educating yourself on an easy-to-follow (non-formatted) rundown of your favorite hobby. Reading and digesting The Morning Scramble in The Big Nasty Athletic Dept. has been proven to cure hangovers, drowsiness, and symptoms of the Swine Flu*. The food is downstairs, read your breakfast while it’s hot.

Of the nearly 22 million people who watched Brett Favre finally exact revenge on The Packers, Ben Roethlisberger and members of his offensive line were NOT among them. Instead, they spent their Monday Night guest hosting WWE’s Monday Night Raw. How does THAT work? I don’t expect WWE superstar John Cena to post up in the booth with Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth on a Sunday Night game during Wrestlemania. Oklahoma State Wide Receiver Dez Bryant recently spoke on his surprising suspension for NCAA Violations. Dez Bryant’s suspension stemmed from an offseason visit to Deion Sander’s house, and Bryant later lying to NCAA officials about the visit.

Dez Bryant was ruled ineligible this week after lying about a visit to Deion Sander's house.
This isn’t the first time Deion Sanders has been in hot water involving amateur athletes, just ask Deions latest critic, Jason Whitlock. Michael Vick obviously spent his recent bye week negotiating a deal for a new reality show. The embattled backup QB will appear on an 8-part series on BET entitled The Michael Vick Project. Maybe I should have waited a couple days to report this story in the event that a BET spokesperson comes out and claims Vick will not be getting a reality show, however he will be receiving free DVD’s of 106 & Park as part of an ‘endorsement’ deal.

Michael Vick will appear on a reality television series to be featured on BET.
Don’t look now but The Angels are on their way to conquering their Demons. Behind solid pitching from Jeff Weaver, The Angles downed The Red Sox in game 2 of The ALDS to go up 2-0 against a Red Sox team that has eliminated them in 3 of their last 4 playoff appearances. Sam Bradford is expected to start for Oklahoma this Saturday against Baylor, keeping The Sooner’s Fiesta Bowl hopes alive. Former Hip-Hop star DMX will join the list of names from the past to try their hand in Mixed Martial Arts. DMX, real name Earl Simmons, will be fighting a former member of his management team. ESPN’S Body Issue was delivered to The Big Nasty Athletic Dept. this week. As promised, the mag featured a nude Serena Williams, a (disappointingly) barely clothed Gina Carano, however what was memorable about this publication were the inclusions of a nude one-legged athlete, a sumo wrestler, and a female shotputter. This issue was definitely deeper, bolder, and more creative than I would have ever imagined, however I was irked to find a much better picture of Gina Carano on newsday. This picture that did NOT appear on the cover of my magazine. ESPN, what the F?
