NFL Halftime Hindsight: Week 4

LONG STORY SHORT…

Bears 21, Lions 21 The Lions have looked pretty good in this one.  I guess it’s easier to move around when the perverbial gorilla is off your back.

Bengals 14, Browns 7 Shouldn’t this be a Bengals blowout already?

Texans 20, Raiders 6 It took a little bit of time for the Texans to get going, but they got going.  The good news is Jamarcus Russell hasn’t turned the ball over…yet.

Jacksonville 27, Titans 3 See Bench Watch.

Giants 17, Chiefs 3 Didn’t we put Matt Cassel on Bench Watch too?  Okay, good.

Patriots 17, Ravens 7 Tom Brady ran to the locker room at one point.  The world stopped.  But he, and The Patriots, are okay.

‘SpreadSHREDDER’ GAMES (Underlined team is who we took)

Buccaneers (+9) OVER Redskins, 10-0 We are exactly one half of football away from the ‘Fire Jim Zorn’ bandwagon gaining some legs.

Colts (-10) OVER Seahawks 21-3 The  Seahawks are actually playing tough despite being racked with injuries, but The Colts have just been too much.

THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS NEED A HALF TIME PEP TALK

Jim Zorn: Even if he does give the halftime speeches, he needs one more than anyone else.  Coming off of a loss to a Lions team that hasn’t won in over a year, and now laying an egg at home to a Buccaneers team that had only 5 first downs just a week ago, Jim Zorn cannot afford to lose this game unless he wants to lose his job.

Jim Zorn has got to be frustrated with an uninspired 1st half from The 'Skins. Maybe they want him fired, too.

Kerry Collins: And the ‘pep talk’ should go a little something like this:  “We’re going with Vince.”
