SpreadSHREDDER Statistics

SpreadSHREDDER Week 4 ATS:  2-1

SpreadSHREDDER Overall ATS: 7-6

The SpreadSHREDDER is slowly creeping up to its optimal 60% threshold and beyond with yet another two out of three weekend.  Meatloaf (is he still alive?) would be loving us right now as he so famously proclaimed that ‘two outta three aint bad’, but 3-0 is so much better.  So let’s make it happen.

Denver (+3) over New England

This is a game that’s been circled on the SpreadSHREDDER schedule for weeks due to at least three reasons:  Coaching, coaching, and MORE coaching.  The Patriots and their, still, out of sync offense has to travel across two time zones, all the way out to the mountains, to play the undervalued and underrated Broncos and the best defense in the AFC thus far.

For eight years, Broncos coach Josh McDaniels learned his craft, and built his coaching resume, under Patriots coach Bill Belichick.  During his last few seasons with New England as Offensive Coordinator, Josh McDaniels was arguably just as important to the Patriots coaching staff as Coach Belichick.  McDaniels knows this Patriots team inside and out, and more importantly, he knows why they embarrassed this Broncos team  last year on national television and how to prevent it.  DENVER, 20-14.

Philadelphia (-15) over Tampa Bay

The Eagles are coming off of a bye week where they had an extra week to prepare against a dismal Tampa Bay Buccaneers team, playing their third road game in four weeks, and The Eagles will now have key starters Donovon McNabb and Bryant Westbrook (both of whom were out during The Eagle’s ticket-cashing victory over The Chiefs in week 3).

The Buccaneers were +2 in the turnover category last week against The Redskins, forcing 4 turnovers, and they STILL lost.  Don’t look for any gifts to come their way against a Veteran Eagles team that’s +2 in the turnover category.  Give me the Birds and the points.  PHILADELPHIA, 28-10.

Arizona (-5.5) over Houston

A lopsided loss for The Cardinals on national television, the last time we saw them, gives value to Arizona.  The Cardinals have had two weeks to prepare for an explosive Houston offense that has come along strong over the past few weeks, giving the Cards plenty of material to dissect.

Houston will not pull an Indianapolis Colts by traveling out west to the desert and blowing out The Arizona Cardinals.    The extra bye week should especially help rookie RB Chris Wells along with RB Tim Hightower as The Cardinals should look to their running game to get going against one of the league’s worst run defenses.  ARIZONA, 30-20.
