On To The Next Round: Phillies over Rockies
__________________________________________________________________________Earlier tonight, the only LDS series in The 2009 MLB Playoffs ended as The Philadelphia Phillies defeated The Colorado Rockies 5-4. With their victory at Coors Field Monday Night, The Phillies took the series 3 games to 1.
Ryan Howard hit a double and scored a run in the 9th inning to lead the Phillies to their 2nd straight LCS.
The “East Coast vs. West Coast”-themed LCS (cue the metal detectors) will persist as The Phillies are set to meet The Los Angeles Dodgers in The NLCS. This will be a rematch of last year’s NLCS won by The Phillies.
