Tonight’s WVU vs. Colorado game has potential to get Dan Hawkins Fired

The overachieving West Virginia Mountaineers host The Colorado Buffaloes, who desperately need  a quality win given the miserable start to their season.  Colorado got a much needed win last week against Wyoming to improve to 1-2 while West Virginia lost a shootout to Auburn, bringing them 2-1.

This game could be pivotal in the job security of a man who provided the single greatest quote in college football history (below), Colorado Coach Dan Hawkins.  West Virginia has scored 30 or more points in each of its first four games while Colorado has struggled both offensively and defensively.

Opening its season with a home loss to Colorado State immediately placed Hawkins firmly on the hotseat, and if the struggling Buffaloes continue to sleepwalk their way through the season, they are in danger of getting blown out on the road by a potent offense in West Virginia.  If that happens, things will continue to get mighty interesting in Colorado.
