Recently, we’ve been sending a select few group of people betting tips on games, off the wire, that do not make The SpreadSHREDDER. Since we have been so hot giving away these particular tips, and in the interest of fairness and The Holiday Spirit, we have decided to share the extra tips with the world and put them on The SpreadSHREDDER. Don’t ask us for anything else this Christmas.

Chicago (+11) over Minnesota

The last three times we saw Jay Cutler, his Bears got blown out by The Arizona Cardinals, and he threw a combined six interceptions in two prime time games. Good. Now The Chicago Bears travel to The General Media Sweethearts, otherwise known as The Minnesota Vikings, with the “Cutler to Chicago was a Mistake!” headlines fresh in the minds of the viewing public. The Bears’ stock (seemingly) couldn’t be any worse. The Vikings’ stock (seemingly) couldn’t be any better. Now let’s read between the lines.

The important thing to remember for this game is that The Bears are coached by Lovie Smith, who was originally brought to Chicago specifically to put an end to Favre and The Packers’ dominance in The NFC North. Boy did he ever? Brett Favre, who is 2-6 against Lovie Smith as Bears head coach, has had struggles against Lovie’s defenses (good or bad) dating back to his days as defensive coordinator of The St. Louis Rams.

Don't be surprised if Chicago 'SHOCKS' Minnesota and if Da Bears D 'LIGHTS UP' Brett Favre.

Now The Fighting Smith’s will be seeking revenge against their division rival Vikings, whose prime time win over The Bears last season dealt a crushing blow to Chicago’s 2008 playoff hopes, with The Bears’ season on the line.

Expect a desperate, yet talented, Bears team to come out aggressively. Chicago’s defense will force Brett Favre, who is still battling a groin injury, into the same uncomfortable situations he has struggled against in his career against Lovie Smith defenses (good or bad).

Peter King of Sports Illustrated gushed about The Vikings earlier this week, advising his readers to pick against The Vikes ‘at your own risk’. Well we here in The SpreadSHREDDER are telling YOU “Buyer beware, but we’re taking DA BEARS!”. CHICAGO, 27-19.
