UFC 105: Don’t Call it a Preview
__________________________________________________________________________UFC shows us its Christian roots as it celebrates Christmas early by providing fight fans with a top-heavy card featuring two UFC staples looking to get back on the winning track. Curious as to why Dana couldn’t push more to have this go head-to-head with Strikeforce, but either way, Randy Couture and UFC 105 will deliver as UFC so often does for Spike. Here’s how we see things shaking down.
YOUR UFC 105 PREDICTIONS (MAIN CARD)
Ross Pearson over Aaron Riley. Ross is a good young fighter on the rise and I just think he’s more explosive and dangerous than Riley who has had a lot of decision victories for a submission specialist. It also won’t hurt that he’s one of 4 fighters from England fighting in his home coutnry.
James Wilks over Matt Brown. Wilks has been the more consistent fighter as of late although Brown has been in some exciting and unpredictable fights. I like Wilks to keep rolling.
Michael Bisping over Denis Kang. Denis Kang was selected to fight Michael Bisping because it’s a fight that Dana thinks Michael can and should win. Bisping is a completely different fighter on his home turf and if he loses this one, we got some problems.
Former Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture will be fighting Brandon Vera in the main event for UFC 105
Mike Swick over Dan Hardy. And The London theme continues!
Randy Couture over Brandon Vera. The old man has got a few fights left in him, none of which we think he’d win against Shogun OR Machida, and Brandon Vera tends to fizzle out as the talent level of his competition improves. Don’t expect a knockout unless Couture goes down, but I see Randy winning a unanimous decision in this one.

UFC will be going against the tail end of some late College Football games, so but this is a very good card and Spike will be thrilled with anything around a 2.0. I say they go just under with a 1.975.
