Multiple outlets, including ESPN, are reporting that Brian Kelly will be leaving Cincinnati to become the next head coach of Notre Dame. Brian Kelly’s impressive run as coach of The Cincinnati Bearcats transformed the losing culture of the once-irrelevant College Football doormat into an offensive juggernaut and BCS contender.
Kelly is not expected to coach The Bearcats as they battle Florida in The 2010 Sugar Bowl.
So here’s a question: If Charlie Weis got fired for having no defense in spite of an explosive offense, what is offensive-minded Brian Kelly expected to bring to the table that Charlie Weis didn’t? I’m just sayin’.
