• Carson Palmer and Matt Sanchez, who will be playing against each other in the playoffs on Saturday Night, both attended The University of Southern California.  This will be the first time in NFL history that two quarterbacks from USC play each other in The NFL Playoffs.

• 7 of the 12 teams in The NFL Playoffs (Packers, Vikings, Ravens, Eagles, Cowboys, Bengals, Vikings) are among the top 10 most penalized team in The NFL.

• The Arizona Cardinals have the worst record of any team in The NFC Playoffs (10-6).  They are a #4 Seed and will host a playoff game this weekend against The Green Bay Packers.

• Aaron Rodgers and Mark Sanchez will be making their playoff debuts at quarterback this weekend.

• The Philadelphia Eagles are 7-0 in their first playoff game under Andy Reid.  Wade Phillips is 0-2 in The Playoffs as head coach of The Dallas Cowboys.

• The New England Patriots are 6-0 in their first playoff game under Bill Belichick.

• The top four teams in The NFC Playoffs (Saints, Vikings, Cowboys, Cardinals) all play indoors.  It is likely that every playoff game in The NFC playoffs will be played indoors.

• The Cowboys have played The Eagles 3 previous times in The NFL Playoffs.  They are 2-1 in those games.

• Rex Ryan, coach of The New York Jets, will be the only coach making his playoff debut this weekend.

• The Tennessee Titans did not make The NFL Playoffs, despite having the league’s leading runningback in Chris Johnson.  This is the first time a team with the league’s leading runningback has failed to make the NFL Playoffs since The 2002 Miami Dolphins, when Ricky Williams was the league’s top rusher.

• Three of the four playoff games this weekend are rematches from the NFL 2009-2010 regular season finale.  All four playoff games this weekend are rematches from the 2009-2010 season.
