Gunshy: Jets @ Chargers
__________________________________________________________________________The San Diego Superchargers’ seemingly invincible run of 11 straight wins has them looking badass enough to dominate Thor in a fight with their bare hands. Seriously, we don’t even think Thor could take The White-hot Chargers if he tried.
The Jets defense has been the best in The NFL, and is absolved of any Green-Bay like flaws as The Jets are a running team who has relied on its defense to keep them in games while their rookie quarterback treads water.
Historically, whenever a great defense plays a dynamic offense, the game ends up being a defensive struggle and there should be no exceptions here.
The Jets will be able to expose some of San Diego’s flaws, including their run defense, which will not be able to stop Thomas Jones and Shonn Green should this game be one of those 10-6 purist-fests.
Vincent Jackson will not be a factor in this game as he will be matched up against Darrelle Revis, but unlike The Bengals, The Chargers have other weapons in the passing game including that little pain-in-the-ass Darren Sprolles and Antonio Gates.
We Don’t do this often, but we like The Chargers in this one, however expect a Jets cover as 7 points is just too much to be getting for a game that may not even go over a 7 point total.
Chargers 24, Jets 21
