The Wall-Street Journal reports that Marbury has agreed to terms to play with The Taiyuan Shanxi Zhongyu, apparently one of the worst teams in China, in a league starved for Beeg Amedicahn Staah Powah.
The Stephon Marbury Road-Show has already begun to do its job with the seemingly resurgent ‘Starbury’ Hype Machine, once very effective in the states, injecting a powerful dose of euphoria into the pulse of basketball fans in Northern China.
Steph’s geinus self-marketing campaign has given him a newfound level of superstardom that he once received in America based on potential alone. Potential or no potential, the people of China can barely hide their hard-ons for what they feel is an incredible coup for their league.
