Poking a Stick at Dwight Freeny: What team will record the first sack of the game?
Drew Brees was sacked twice as many times as Peyton Manning during the regular season, albeit only 20 times. During the second season, Manning has been sacked 4 times compared to Drew Brees’ 1, and the killstat to remember is that Manning has surrendered 2 first half sacks during the playoffs (2 in the first quarter) while Breesus has yet to be sacked in the opening half of a game in these playoffs. Dwight Freeny, and his grizzly bear ballerina act, will find it difficult to record any sacks on Brees and his quickdraw cannon, let alone on one leg. While Robert Mathis, who is expected to assume the bulk of the pass-rushing load with Freeny hobbled, should not be taken lightly, Robert Mathis is not Dwight Freeny even if he has two legs. 
Peyton Manning does this Anderson Silva thing in the playoffs, where he spends the first couple of series ‘circling the octagon’ and studying the opposition before biting their freakin’ heads off.
