The storyline designed to make you sick weep: How many times will CBS announcers fully mention Hurricane Katrina during the game? 
Hurricane Katrina was a tragedy that shook the nation just three years ago. While Hurricane Katrina was doing its thing, The Bush Administration infamously sat back and did its thing which had nothing to do with Hurricane Katrina. Kanye West lashed out (see below) during a Hurricane Katrina telethon, and the disaster that was Hurricane Katrina evoked emotions and debates regarding Hurricane Katrina that rage on to this day.
Recently, we compared The Saints vs. Colts to New Orleans vs. Hurricane Katrina. In our humble opinion, that analogy was clever enough for Jim Nantz or Phil Simms to sweep through this blog like Hurricane Katrina and swipe it for their own use. In all honesty, however, a Hurricane Katrina reference in that context, during a nationally televised broadcast, would fall under the ‘too soon’ category.
Needless to say, Hurricane Katrina will be a built-in storyline for the underdog Saints as we have subtly hinted towards in this post. Hurricane Katrina.
