Get That Microphone Out of Stan Van Gundy’s Face!
__________________________________________________________________________The in-game interview has become a recent staple of NBA broadcasts as coaches give quick thoughts to a sideline correspondent during designated breaks.
Stan Van Gundy would like that staple removed.
After developing a reputation for having a salty personality during these trivial stop-and-chats, Van Gundy came out and gave his true thoughts on The NBA in-game interview:
“After the game’s hard enough. I can take some time and compose myself and answer your questions I think fairly rationally. Between quarters stuff… I’m not trying to be rude to the people that are interviewing me, but to be quite honest I don’t want to deal with it. I want to get back in the huddle and talk to my players. I don’t want to be out there answering my questions.”
So there it is, Lisa Salters. Back off. You’re just going to have to wait like everybody else.
