Mayweather/Pacquiao Deadline Passes. Thanks Floyd
__________________________________________________________________________Floyd Mayweather spoke volumes by remaining dormant as the deadline for the superfight, that makes the world wet, has come and gone.
Initial negotiations for a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight were shot down when Manny Pacquiao refused to agree to extensive drug testing insisted upon by Floyd Mayweather’s camp.
Greed, which is ubiquitous when it comes to booking boxing fights between big stars, also reared its ugly head. Financial disputes lead to the eventual demise of what was once thought to have been an inevitable superfight that would have likely taken place in Texas Stadium.
Now, with Pacquiao on board to be drug tested like Lance Armstrong on a hot streak, and an equitable split of the earnings on the table, the ball had been placed solely in Floyd Mayweather’s court.
And Floyd didn’t even pick it up.
The conversation now shifts from whether or not Manny Pacquiao really was juiced this whole time (which in all honesty is still a possibility) to whether or not Floyd Mayweather in fact is afraid of Manny Pacquiao.
With no word from Mayweather’s camp, allowing the Mayweather/Pacuqiao deadline to pass in the process, even the staunchest of Mayweather supporters must now ask themselves this very question.
