USC Receives More Bad News Prior to Inevitable Erosion
__________________________________________________________________________The USC Trojans continue to receive bad news.
Former Trojan, and Heisman winner, Reggie Bush will have his 2005 Heisman Trophy returned as mandated by incoming University President C.L. Max Nikias (who sounds like he should be competing in a Roman Amphitheater).

The news serves as further signs of impending doom, Hellfire, and brimstone to be reined down upon College Football’s Darth Vader, depending on who you’re talking to, as unwanted wholesale changes in Trojania have included the replacement of disgraced Athletic Director Mike Garrett and a savvy Pete Carroll dumping USC faster than Swizz Beats did his baby mama in favor of Alicia Keys.
Long sentences aside, now that we’re talking College Football, here’s who we like as the benefactors of USC and a Tebowless Florida being a non-factor.
Oklahoma. Landry Jones showed he’s got the goods to lead the Sooners to a big game spot where they will inevitably get whacked. Truth be told, Oklahoma probably would have beaten Texas last year had they stuck with Jones as opposed to throwing a less-than-100 percent (but with a better upside) Sam Bradford into the fire.
Alabama. Believe the hype. The team who should be most comfortable with the talent they have coming back into the fold. Watch as Saban continues to dodge athletic sanctions like Ingram did the NFL.
Ohio State. In all their overrated glory, now is the time for team Pryor to (temporary) overtake the College Football landscape with many of the big dogs either in a cage (USC) or a camp (soon to be Bradford, Tebow).
Boise State. Please. Everybody seems to scared to make the “they’re not ready for prime time” argument when it comes to Boise State because they beat TCU in last year’s GEICO Who Gives a Shit Bowl. Fine, we’ll be that guy.
They’re not ready for prime time. The lights are too bright. The stage is too big. The pressure is too much. First game out, Virginia Tech saves the 2010 season from yet another Rudy story. Rudy, ugh.
