Tony Romo NFL Season Preview NFC

The NFC has surprise scribbled all over it.  Hot on the heels of the AFC for the past few seasons for conference dominance, don’t be surprised to see the NFC take a step back as a whole.  The #1 seed has only 11 wins in this preview, but it’s better to be conservative with these things.

NFC North
Green Bay Packers 10-6
Minnesota Vikings 9-7
Chicago Bears 8-8
Detroit Lions 6-10

NFC East
Dallas Cowboys 11-5
New York Giants 11-5
Philadelphia Eagles 8-8
Washington Redskins 7-9

NFC West

San Francisco 49ers 9-7
Arizona Cardinals 8-8
Seattle Seahawks 7-9
St. Louis Cardinals 5-11

NFC South
Atlanta Falcons 10-6
New Orleans Saints 10-6
Carolina Panthers 7-9
Tampa Bay Buccanneers 4-12

Playoff Seeding:

1. Dallas Cowboys. No team in NFL history has ever felt more pressure to play a Superbowl at home.  For some odd reason, and due to recent history, we think the Cowboys respond positively to such pressure.
2. Green Bay Packers. Not as “Superbowl Sexy” as you think, but still pretty damn good in the NFC.
3. Atlanta Falcons. By this time, the magic that was Who dat will have worn off and
4. San Francisco 49ers. The default winner of what should be a characteristically embarrassing NFC West.
5. New York Giants. With the Jets getting a new stadium, and all the hype that comes with it, the Redskins landing McNabb and Shanahan, and the Cowboys being the Cowboys, do the New York Giants even play in the NFL anymore?  Why, yes.  Yes they do.
6. New Orleans Saints. Your Superbowl champions will see their win total diminish significantly with a first place schedule and a decreased turnover ratio.  However they are still talented enough to sneak into the playoffs.

*Wildcard Round*

New Orleans Saints 24, Atlanta Falcons 23

New York Giants 31, San Francisco 49ers 20

*Divisional Round*

Dallas Cowboys 38, New Orleans Saints 17

Green Bay Packers 21, New York Giants 7

*NFC Championship Game*

Dallas Cowboys 27, Green Bay Packers 17
